For some reason, I'm not sure if it was due to the server upgrades or something else, my friend's wiki and forum lost all of the data that was added yesterday!

Then today when I was browsing around on the forum this error came up and I cannot access the forum anymore

Fatal error: Not able to open ./cache/data_global.php in /home/opentowe/public_html/forum/includes/acm/acm_file.php on line 112

Finally, when I tried posting something else on the wiki today, it said that there was a session error and that I needed to log out and them back in again.

I tried doing that, but when I tried logging in, it sent me back to the main page without actually logging me in!

So I'm not sure if these occurrences are all linked, and if they are due to the server upgrades or what, and I'm sorry if they are just temporary, I'm just trying to figure out what happened so we can get our project up again.

Sorry for the inconvenience. We may have copied your friends wiki earlier, and therefore missed some of your recent changes.

Seeing as we still have access to the old server, I have copied your friends account (opentower.wikkii.com) once again.

Everything should be there now.

I have browsed through your forum a bit, and I do not see the error you mention arise again. But if it does, this post here may be of assistance to you:

If you are still having session problems with logging into your wiki, kindly let me know the exact error message (if any).

Forum? But isn't wiki the only thing you are allowed to use?

PS. The same data loos happened in my wiki as well but i guess everything was fixed by me and another user

Yeah, I've uploaded some images and formatted some articles at my wikkii this sunday, now I just checked and they're gone - if you could restore mine too it'd be very appreciated

Because their forum is clearly associated with their wiki, it is okay for them to use it.

But a forum needs another database and we can only have one.

If you set the installations to use specific database prefixes (such as mediawiki or smf you can run as many applications as you need off a database.
