Hi..
I understand that you dont give shell access, but how to run maintenance script, such as creating archive (tar) or to create dump (mysqldump). Do you really want to be disturbed every time with this kind of requests?

Hi Joni,

I am not comfortable with providing shell access to users (particularly free users) for security reasons, so I don't see any other option except running the maintenance scripts myself.

If you have suggestions I would love to hear it.

Some things such as backing up the database (mysqldump) can be achieved using PhpMyAdmin.

Though, I am happy to run any maintenance scripts that you require until such time as we can figure out an alternative.

It may inconvenience you however, as you will need to wait for me. My apologies about that.
