Hey, I am looking forward to sometime using your service, Wikkii.com, but I was wondering if you could possibly install http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:WikiForum to all the wikis. It seems like a very useful extension! Thanks, WikiDude Future Wikkii Owner

Regarding the first extension, it unfortunately cannot be installed as it requires database changes.
And the second one, I will see if more people request it.
Thanks for your suggestions.

Since it can't be added to farmer wiki's, do you suggest I use advanced hosting? I'm no good at the MediaWiki script (or PHP) and have never downloaded an extension in my lifetime.

Media Wiki is pretty easy to use. I will be writing a help guide for users like you on the Hub Wiki soon.
I think the second forum would be a very good addition.

Thanks! I'm looking to use Advanced Hosting, but I don't have knowledge on the topic, so I guess I'll look at the Hub Wiki

I still have to write that, and I'm really busy. I'll write it as soon as I can though. You still should be able to find some help there though. If not, you can try asking questions at the Support Desk at http://www.mediawiki.org

Installing and maintaining a MW installation is not a walk-in-the-park, and should not be attempted by users who have very little interest in such chores or limited programming know-how. Just check with the admin of onepiece wiki to see if you have the capacity or inclination towards such things. Once the database becomes corrupted due to conflicting extensions it is a nightmare to repair or to restore. I had to re-upload many images more than 3 times due to the hashed directory variable, and it's a painful process (and lesson for me). Having said that, if you do have the interest, there are numerous documentation floating out there if you need help. And of course there is the forum here BTW, wikis going for Advanced Hosting are subject to Wikkii's approval.
