On my Farmer wiki, there is no option to stop users from editing their own talk page when blocking them. However, if I look through the MediaWiki namespace system messages, there is one that says "cannot edit own talk page", indicating that ability SHOULD be there somewhere. Is there any particular reason for this? I'm just curious.

As far as I know, if the option to block that isn't available, blocked users can't edit their talk page.

Huh. I wonder why that option isn't there then. Nevermind. http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Manual:Block_and_unblock#Configuration_settings_related_to_blocking.

These small little tweaks to the MediaWiki script are one reason I would like Advanced Hosting, but I don't know if my wiki would qualify or how much hassle would be involved.
