Is it allowed to create non-MediaWiki wikis if you have Advanced Hosting? I don't plan on actually doing this any time soon, since MediaWiki is the generally accepted standard and probably has the most support, but I am curious if it's allowed.

As long as it will work compatibility-wise, I think it would probably be ok as long as you were still able to add the ad banner.  I know that wikis are allowed to setup forums on their servers as long as they're related to the wiki and still have the ad banner.

We'll see what Wikkii says about it.

When I started here, any wiki software was allowed, now only Mediawiki is mentioned to be fully supported. as long as the ads are set, I don't see why it wouldn't be allowed as any software will still work.
