I just installed the Malleus Commons today, as a repository for official Warhammer images.

Could someone please help me with placing the adbanner code, in the place where it will be above the article title, rather than in the article section of the page?

Try the following in your skins/Vector.php:
find the line "<!-- firstHeading -->" and insert the banner code just above it.

I just used the htmlets extension, and it works pretty well.  I'll write up directions for this method.
