http://wikkii.com/wiki/Start_a_Wiki does not list this but I have seen some wikiis that just list .wikii as the URL rather than JumpWiki or WikiNet (wiki I desire isn't related to education/gaming AFAIK).

http://wikkii.com/wiki/Features says
*Your own subdomain, eg. example.wikkii.com
*This is the address where visitors can see your wiki.

For example, so is this only for older wikis?

Yes they still can be created however I do believe that it is preferred to use the other domains for wiki creation.

You can still create wikis at /wiki/Special:Farmer/create

You can use that domain, but it's only recommended if none of the other domains are acceptable.  The reason has to do with the size of the database.
