I'm going to go ahead and say i'm very new to MySQL and anything more than wiki editing so I may be asking a dumb question, but I'm installing MediaWiki 1.19 on my wiki, and when I get to the step "Connect to database", I put in all my information, or I think I do, and it comes back every time with something along the lines of

DB connection error: Access denied for user '******' (using password: YES) (localhost).
Check the host, username and password and try again.

I'm not sure where to get the exact information for all this stuff, could someone direct me where i need to go to get this?

When I was new to Advanced Hosting, I got this exact same error, so I understand your problem. You have to create a MySQL database and user, then add the MySQL user to the database. This can be done using your cPanel account. After doing that, use this information, and you should be able to proceed further into the installation.

I already did that, but I may be putting the wrong information in the wrong place. For instance, me nor one of the other people i'm working on the wiki with know what the Database host is supposed to be.

Use "localhost".

ok, thank you to both of you, I finally got through
